RC Trading Co was formed by Reuven Cohen in 1978. Reuven began his career by traveling around the United States selling to jewelry stores. Shortly after starting his company he began traveling back and forth from the US to Israel to buy and sell diamonds to the jewelry trade throughout the US. Reuven was the direct buyer who over the years adhered to strict code of ethics as to which type of diamonds at competitive prices he could pass along to his clients. In December of 1999 Reuven brought his son Rafi into his business where over the years he shared his knowledge of the diamond industry. Rafi remembers learning how to open and close diamond parcel papers and to inspect diamonds in the many parcels of large quantities of diamonds that passed thru Reuven’s desk. Reuven is known in the diamond industry as a big buyer and that led Rafi to see many different qualities and quantities of diamonds over the years. Shortly after Rafi started working with Reuven he attended a GIA course on diamond grading where with his knowledge of the diamond market he began to understand the science behind the loose diamond. It was not until several years after Rafi started working with Reuven that both Reuven and Rafi felt comfortable with Rafi purchasing diamonds on his own. Reuven instilled in Rafi to keep his eye open and to know what type of diamond material our clients liked. Now both Reuven and Rafi look together at loose diamonds to buy for their inventory. Our eyes work for the benefit of our clients and our buying power work to benefit our clients both in the jewelry industry and throughout our network of friends.

     RC Trading Co specializes in supplying independent jewelry stores and gemologists with loose diamonds and one of a kind special order diamond rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces. There are many processes to take in order to make an engagement ring. The most important is the center diamond then comes designing the ring via CAD design or a handmade ring from a craftsman located here on Sansom Street. We here at RC Trading overlook all these stages and keep our clients up to date with every step. After the ring is designed all the side diamonds must be sorted and matched to millimeter for the piece of jewelry and of course match the color and clarity of the center diamond. Once the ring is casted all the diamonds need to be set and the final process is polishing the ring so the ring will be presented to the end client glimmering, shinning and in a perfect state.
